Property building in Days Inn Hotel Abington - Glasgow
An older property but well maintained, pretty much what you would expect from a motorway services hotel. Quite a few dogs staying during our visit however did not experience any noise. Checking in beforehand is useful after a long journey in that they have your registration for the parking and all details so collect key and go. Absolutely nothing wrong with this property other than perhaps the limited choices for a meal at the services themselves as the location is quite isolated however enough choice that only a very picky eater would go hungry. However... A WARNING! The roads around the services are in extremely poor condition with very deep potholes which would make your local council envious. I hit one in the dark and burst a tyre which was massively inconvenient and expensive, This is in no way a criticism of the Days Inn as I'm sure they have no control over the state of the roads on the entire service plaza. I cannot stress enough how bad this problem is, without exaggeration you would have to see them to believe how bad they are. Beware!

Yes, this is a 2 star budget motorway hotel and to be honest we arrived without any particularly high expectations. The guy checking us in was really nice and friendly and knew what he was doing.... he greeted the dogs and gave good directions to our room. Our room was conveniently close to the main entrance on the ground floor and had a double and a single bed - what a relief as the dogs are proper sleep thieves and hog bed-space, so my husband and I were able to take a bed each. Although like many places, the hotel is dated in some areas, it was spotlessly clean and the beds both extremely comfortable to boot! I've slept on worse beds in more expensive establishments! Linen was spotless and fresh and the beds well made. There was ample supply of tea and coffee. We would both definitely happily stay there again..... it exceeded our expectations and for the price I think it was definitely a chance we were happy to take 😊

Very simple, very easy booking and check in. Specially as was a last minute decision of mimes to go for a long drive on my day off ,(btw Albington his stunning and has breathtaking valley, stunning hidden gem)arrived at 4am yet a wonderful American lady welcomed.me in,and quickly handed me the kye to my room, asked for late check out (1pm) at the cost of 10 £.But also keep in mind ,as I was only made aware after booking was made, that there an extra 5£ cost for parking. where as I requested, there was an iron ready for me..Was only when morning thst I truly realized that it was located in this beautiful valley. Room. Immaculate, extremely clean. Comfortable bed.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - actually all the shops / eateries we visited during our stay at the Abington Welcome Break services were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made our stay all the better! The rooms were very clean, warm and comfortable. The shower was good, the towels fluffy, and there was a kettle + tea as well as a heated towel rail, which is lovely considering the price. We were working in the area for a couple of days so this was very convenient for us. We had a lovely stay.

We stay here regularly on the way up and down from the Highlands - it's always comfortable and really good value, with a comfortable bed, decent shower and a sofa - this time, we had a really great room with views of rabbits playing, which was lovely and, when it got dark, the lights of the trucks going by at room level.
